I’m considering hosting a singing workshop series if there is enough interest. Please let me know at singforjoy135@gmail.com if you are interested we would need about 12 people to run it so we can have good three part harmony groups.
In this workshop series, we will sing together and experiment with many different songs and create beautiful harmonies. We will to explore our voice and try different parts for songs. We will learn songs ranging from meditative to ridiculous, some easy, some with more complex parts and rhythms. I plan to teach songs with many different themes that participants can take with them and hopefully pass on to other groups in their life!
The location would ideally be in the Broadmead or Royal Oak area of Saanich. If someone is interested in bringing more song into their home by hosting this group, they would be able to participate for free. If this isn’t possible, I can also rent a space.
The price is suggested at $130 for the session set, with options for reduction if cost is a barrier.
All songs are taught by ear, and I’ll provide song recordings and individual part tracks to help us learn to sing the parts.
There is no performance, but instead we will have a “Big Sing” gathering at the end of each series, where we can invite friends to join us in song.
Sing Together is about connecting, the freedom to be ourselves and make mistakes, laughing, and growing together!
